Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed with developmentally appropriate activities and the routines are planned in each classroom to offer each child opportunities for challenge and success. The curriculum includes teacher and child-directed activities in areas such as art, language development, science, math readiness, social skills, music and dramatic play.
Our free choice time in each classroom offers the child chances to make independent choices and build self-esteem through these activities.
Our children are grouped into classrooms. Children are placed into these groups according to their abilities not their age. Each teacher is encouraged to become acquainted with the children in their care and learn their strong and weak points. Each teacher plans activities that will challenge some of the children and not be frustrating for others. The children are taught in groups and also encouraged to work independently on some activities. The teacher plans her daily activities to make each child feel good about their day.
